Viewers dub Dolly Parton a ‘class act’ after Late Late interview

One of many country music stars to feature on this year's Late Late Country special, Dolly Parton was the standout guest of the night.  Queen of country, Ms Dolly Parton herself was on the Late Late Country special last night. Winning viewers over with her trademark southern charm, the songstress chatted to Ryan about everything from her upbringing to her career. Describing herself as a very "sensitive" and "perceptive" person, Dolly admitted that "everything is a song" to her later admitting that it's probably why she has such a special connection with her Irish fans. "I do believe that there is such a thing as really living something, feeling it and knowing it. A lot of people have the gift to write and be poetic, but there is something - and I think that's why the Irish have always loved me and I've always loved them - because we speak the same language. "They appreciate and know what it's like to live hard and be brought up poor. They know when I'm singing it, I mean it and I believe that they know that I feel that emotion that I have that is just built in my, I call it my Smokey Mountain DNA, but is from those old songs brought over from Ireland and England."
