Viewers are in awe of Longford woman and single mother of two Lynsey Bennett, who spoke to Ryan Tubridy about her ongoing battle with cervical cancer.
Welcoming many different guests on last night's show, Ryan spoke to a host of well-known faces - from Foo Fighters musician Dave Grohl to Boyzone singer Ronan Keating. There was one standout on the night though with viewers hailing Longford woman Lynsey Bennett a 'hero' and an 'inspiration' for speaking so candidly about her ongoing battle with cervical cancer.
Saying that he was struck by how 'dignified' and 'eloquent' Lynsey is in the face of 'such a horrible torment', Ryan spoke to the 32-year-old about her diagnosis.

Lynsey is due to fly to Mexico this coming Tuesday where she will undergo a four-week long treatment that she hopes may help to halt the spread of her cancer. It's clear from the outpouring of support that the whole country is behind her, wishing her a safe and speedy return home to her daughters.
