A ‘Grease’ Prequel Called ‘Summer Loving’ Is On The Way

A prequel to the iconic musical Grease is officially in the works. The new film titled Summer Loving will tell the story of when Danny first met Sandy, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The hit 1978 musical starring John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John shows the pair telling their friends all about their holiday romance in the song Summer Nights. https://twitter.com/THR/status/1115693175631486976 Summer Loving will essentially tell the story behind the song and delve deeper into what actually happened between Danny and Sandy when they met. It’s being developed by Paramount Studios and veteran writer John August, whose credits include Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Big Fish, is set to pen the script.
