Books. Some of us read them. Some of us don't. Those of you who don't are constantly being questioned by those who do as to why you don't. But that's normally the case with fiction books more often than any other kind of book, need I remind you of the whole 50 Shades Of Grey fiasco.
However today we're not here to talk about those kinds of books. We're here to talk about real life, business books and books that have helped thousands turn their life around and helped them accomplish more. We're here to talk about the top six books every entrepreneur should read in 2015:
Rework is one of my favourite books on this list because it's not really your average business book. It's all about showing you a smarter approach to succeeding in business and it's one of the best books I've read in the entrepreneurship category. The book sticks with me mainly however because it's fast and to the point. Highly recommend this to any entrepreneur types out there.
Entrepreneurs have a tendency to want to get shit done themselves, or as Chris calls it 'Superhero Syndrome'. This book is all about turning that around and outsourcing a lot of stuff to both help you, and your business succeed better. Go pick up Virtual Freedom: How to Work with Virtual Staff to Buy More Time, Become More Productive, and Build Your Dream Business and go learn all about virtual employees.
This book was so popular it's how a lot of startups are run in today's world, and thankfully. The Lean Startup is all about figuring out exactly what your customers want, constantly testing that and continuously adapting and adjusting before it's too late. This is just plain and simple mandatory reading for any entrepreneur.
Build it. Make it amazing. They can't ignore it. That's the main lesson from this amazing book by Seth Godin and it's a book which I've read more than once. Godin is one of the best entrepreneurs out there and this books shows you exactly how he managed to do so well and there are some great lessons in this book that everyone can learn from. I would recommend having a pen and paper near you however because you will be making notes throughout.
I also read this one twice simply because it's fun. Smartcuts analyses the path of several successful people to their success from people such as Jimmy Fallon, JJ Abrams and Eli Pariser & Peter Kevin Koechley of Upworthy. There are clear actions from each of these stories that these people put into place to accelerated their career and helped them jump ahead of their competitors.
C'mon, it's on every other list for a reason and its success and sales speak for itself. If you haven't read it. Go buy it now. Don't be stupid.
