If you're planning a Monday night in front of the telly you could do worse than tune into RTÉ's documentary 'Golden: Our Fifty Years Of Marriage'.
The programme follows eight Irish couples who have reached the milestone as they tell of their courtship all the way up to present day against a backdrop of social, political and technological change in Ireland.
During the hour-long show, the subjects will provide with advice on how to maintain such a long and happy marriage. Some of the tips include complimenting each other, looking good for each other and getting through the tough times that life throws at you together.
A promo for the documentary, which you can view below, shows Dutch couple Kees and Anneke Vogeleer doing just that. The pair, who moved to Ireland over 50 years ago speak of coming to terms with the sudden death of their son which left their four grandchildren fatherless.
