This Gripping Netflix Crime Drama Is The Israeli Version Of ‘Making A Murderer’

If gripping real-life crime dramas are your thing then we have got the perfect Netflix documentary for you.

Shadow Of Truth presents the case of Tair Rada, a 13-year-old Israeli girl who was brutally murdered in the bathroom of her school in December 2006.

The case shook Israel to its core particularly the town of Katzrin where the homicide took place.

The documentary uses interviews with those closest to the case including police, prosecutors, psychologists and the victim's family members to unravel a story which will leave viewers constantly questioning what they believed to be true just five minutes previously.

In Episode 1, we see a blood-soaked murder scene which leaves police baffled as to who would murder an innocent student right in the middle of a school day.

Authorities are instantly put under pressure from family, media and the general public alike to identify the culprit or culprits and bring them to justice.

After a couple of botched attempts, the arrest of one Roman Zadorov, a Ukrainian citizen is made. Zadorov finds himself facing a barrage of questioning, made more difficult by his limited grasp of the Hebrew language.

Without giving too much away, everything the viewer original thinks about Zadorov is soon tossed on its head as the sinister agendas of all those concerned becomes abundantly clear.

The similarities with Making A Murderer are plain to see as some manipulative characters try to fulfil those agendas for their own benefit.

As the four-episode series rolls on, the case becomes ever-more chilling as more and more people come forward with evidence and theories of their own.

None of the episodes of Shadow Of Truth last longer than 45 minutes, meaning that its possible to cram it all into a couple of nights, or evening a long weekend afternoon.
