These Nutters Suspended a Giant Hammock 400 Ft Above a Desert

A group of BASE jumpers, highliners and volunteers decided they'd spend their Thanksgiving break constructing this huge web-like hammock 400 feet above the Moab desert in Utah. Sure, what else would you be doing? They dubbed it the Mothership Space Net Penthouse.

Not to everyone's taste but these nutters had a great day out. The highliners walked across the 5 legs of the net, the BASE jumpers flung themselves through the hole in the middle and paragliders flew past and dropped wingsuit pilots from above.

The Mothership is the brainchild of Andy Lewis, and it took more than 50 people over a three day period to install it. "This was without a doubt one of the most unique Thanksgiving gatherings we've had out here in the Moab desert," photographer Brian Mosbaugh wrote on the Slackline Media website.
