One of the best Disney movies in recent years, Moana heads off on an adventure - with the assistance of a shape-shifting demi-god (appropriately played by The Rock) - in order to save her island from destruction.
The Day The Earth Stood Still - E4 - 6.55pm
Keanu Reeves stars as an alien who lands on Earth, accompanied by an incredibly powerful robot, with one decision to make: should mankind be allowed to continue, or should they be completely wiped out.
Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy - Sky One - 9pm
"Ladies and gentlemen, can I please have your attention. I've just been handed an urgent and horrifying news story, and I need all of you to stop what you're doing and listen. Cannonball!"
The 40-Year-Old Virgin - Comedy Central - 9pm
A collection of some brilliant comedic actors - Steve Carrell, Paul Rudd, Seth Rogen, Jane Lynch, Catherine Keener, Elizabeth Banks, Leslie Mann, Jonah Hill, Kat Dennings, Kevin Hart - feature in this story of a nice guy, who just happens to still be a virgin.
Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation - E4 - 9pm
The fifth entry in the MI franchise (and, arguably, the best) sees Tom Cruise attempt to take on a new evil organisation that has designs on taking out some very prominent political leaders around the world. This is the one with the opera house fight, and the amazing bike chase, and the underwater heist, and the Cruiser hanging on to the outside of a plane while it takes off.
Straight Outta Compton - RTE Two - 9.40pm
An absolutely brilliant biopic on the rise and fall of the legendary hi-hop group NWA, and how their songs reacted to and caused reactions in the daily life in Los Angeles.
Pawn Sacrifice - BBC Two - 11.40pm
If you liked The Queen's Gambit, then you should definitely give this a go. Tobey Maguire and Liev Schreiber star in the fact-based sporting drama set in 1972 during the Cold War, as two of the world's best chess players, and their head-to-head match holding the weight of the entire US vs USSR conflict.
Something's Gotta Give - RTE One - 12.10am
Jack Nicholson, Diane Keaton, Keanu Reeves, Frances McDormand, Amanda Peet, and Jon Favreau star in this rom-com about an ageing music producer (Nicholson) who begins to fall for his girlfriend's mother (Keaton) after she helps him back to health following a heart attack.
Buried - Channel 4 - 12.20am
Ryan Reynolds is an American contractor working in Iraq, who wakes up buried alive in a coffin, with nothing but a phone and a lighter. An incredibly tense, brilliantly-made thriller.
