Forrest Gump - FilmFour - 9pm
Winner of six Oscars - including Best Film and Best Actor - this finds Tom Hanks' titular character being involved in almost every major event in recent American history.
Sherlock Holmes - Sky One - 9pm
The Robert Downey Jnr. and Jude Law version is a huge amount of fun, with a great twisty plot weaving in between some fantastic action set-pieces.
Double Jeopardy - More4 - 9pm
Ashley Judd spends several years in prison for the murder of her husband, a crime she didn't commit, the biggest proof of her innocence being that her husband is still totally alive, and framed her so he could bag his own life insurance.
The Bourne Identity - RTE Two - 9.30pm
The beginnings of the insomniac assassin series sees Matt Damon wake up with no idea who he is, where he is, and why he has several bullet holes in his body.
The Railway Man - TG4 - 9.30pm
Colin Firth plays a former prisoner of war who still suffers nightmares about his time in captivity several decades later, so his wife (Nicole Kidman) tries to find a fellow survivor in an effort to understand more about his psychological torment, and makes some startling discoveries.
