Yes, we know that 2020 isn't over yet, but that hasn't stopped the best games of the year being announced!
While 2020 isn't over yet, and we've still got the likes of
Watch Dogs: Legion and
Assassin's Creed Valhalla and
Cyberpunk 2077 to go, not to mention of all the brand new arrivals for PS5 and Xbox Series X and S, we don't question it when the Oscars take place in February or March every year, so we won't question these, either.

BEST GAME - Final Fantasy VII Remake
The remake of the hit 1997 game is actually just a remake of the first bit of that game, and still, somehow, incredibly long. So much so that the baddie of the original game hasn't properly arrived by the time this one has ended.
