The Teletubbies Reunited For A Performance And It’s Must-Watch TV

It's December 1997. Mary McAleese has just been elected as the eighth President of Ireland. James Cameron's Titanic debuts to audiences in the United States. Meanwhile, four multi-coloured creatures are storming to the top of the charts with their debut single Teletubbies Say "Eh Oh!"  Upon the release of their BBC television series, The Teletubbies achieved superstar status and the hysteria wasn't just limited to children. The psychedelic qualities of the quartet's appearances were said to appeal to teenagers and adults alike, helping to achieve a cult following for Tinky Winky, Dipsy, Laa-Laa and Po. This week, the foursome got the band back together for a special appearance on ITV's This Morning and it went exactly as you would have hoped. Hosts Philip Schofield and Holly Willoughby looked somewhat bewildered as they introduced the segment before the group set off on a march around the studio, performing their iconic Christmas number one single. The Teletubbies appeared ahead of their Big Band Live Show at Alton Towers and the result is pretty much nostalgic gold.
