Well, if it was going to happen at any time of year, it may as well be the week of the 4th of July.
This headline appeared in the Daily Mail two days ago, and tells the story of Minnesota man Jason Galvin – an army veteran with two tours in Afghanistan under his belt – who discovered an eagle stuck in a tree, and decided to take action in order to bring the majestic animal to safety.
Naturally this touching tale of animal altruism was picked up by the media.
