The Late Late Show returned to our screens last night after a summer hiatus and the first episode of the new series saw Ryan Tubridy as busy as ever.
Tubridy welcomed a host of great guests onto the Late Late Show last night including female artist collective Women In Harmony, Snow Patrol frontman Gary Lightbody, Hollywood star Russell Crowe and legendary GAA commentator Mícheál Ó Muircheartaigh.
As well as that, there was an interview with all of the people involved in one of the summer's most dramatic and, ultimately, uplifting stories. Last month, the nation cheered when
news emerged that Ellen Glynn and Sara Feeney had been found off the coast of Galway after spending the night at the sea.
The cousins had set off on paddleboards and were found 15 hours later by fishermen Patrick and Morgan Oliver, much to the relief of the girls, their families and everyone else who had been praying for their safe return.
All four chatted to Ryan last night about Ellen and Sara's long night in the wind and rain and Ellen revealed that the singing of Taylor Swift songs played a big role in keeping them from panicking. For his part, Patrick said that he and his son Morgan hadn't rescued the girls - instead they had simply "found them" and the girls had "saved themselves".
