Striking Video Unveils the Laborious Lives of Those Living Along the Ganges

India may be the second most populated place on Earth but it is also home to one of the worst areas of deviation between the rich and the poor. I've always been fascinated by India and its hectic, diverse cultures, colours and landscape that are completely unique to that of anywhere else.

Videographer Brandon Li captures this brilliantly in his latest short Gateway To The Ganges. He filmed the daily life in the Indian holy cities of Rishikesh, Haridwar, and Devprayag which lie on foothills of the Himalayas where the Ganges River flows from the mountains. He said he visited the regions not knowing what to expect and that he left feeling "saddened by the experience". He's really nailed the tone of the locals showing their high-spirited resilience that appears to have stemmed from surviving and maintaining their devotion through a challenging life. Enjoy...
