The Boys In Green, a documentary about the Ireland soccer team under the stewardship of the late Jack Charlton, is being reshown by RTE tonight.

After originally airing back in March, RTE will be showing the two-part documentary following the death of former Ireland manager Jack Charlton. The Boys In Green features a number of contributions from Ireland's golden generation including Mick McCarthy, Steve Staunton, David O'Leary, John Aldridge and more. The programme tells the story of how Charlton was hired for the job, despite not being everyone's first choice for the role. It then takes viewers through the many highs and the few lows of the next decade - from Euro 88 to Italia 90 to USA 94 before culminating in the forgettable 1995 game against England at Lansdowne Road and Jack's eventual departure. With tributes continuing to pour in for Big Jack, it would seem quite fitting if the nation came together, like we did throughout those halcyon days, to relive it all. If you haven't seen The Boys In Green before, you can get a taster in the preview below. It all kicks off at 9.30pm tonight on RTE One. https://twitter.com/RTEsoccer/status/1281969296592248832
