RTÉ Has Released Some Glorious Archive Footage Of Its 1980s Broadcasts

Prepare to step back in time as RTÉ has begun releasing some vintage footage of news broadcasts from days gone by. Over 9,000 hours of footage from 1985-1999 will be released to the public daily with a new year becoming available each day. Yesterday, 1985 was released and the archives contain some gems from Des Cahill checking out the new the new transatlantic Aer Lingus flights to a visit from the Japanese Royal Family.
