Veronica Guerin is one of those movies that every Irish person should have seen by now and if you haven't, you can do so tonight when it airs on RTÉ 1.
The 2003 film tells the tale of the eponymous crime journalist (Cate Blanchett) whose investigation into the Dublin drug trade led to her murder in 1996 at the age of just 37.
Anyone who is old enough to remember the mid 90s will be aware of how much Guerin's death touched the nation and while the movie has received somewhat mixed reviews, it is a gripping watch - not least for Cate Blanchett's impressive Dublin accent.
Look out for Gerard McSorley, otherwise known as Father Todd Unctious, and a young Eric Cantona-worshipping Colin Farrell.
Veronica Guerin airs tonight on RTÉ 1 at 9.35pm and is followed by the documentary
Veronica Guerin: A Legacy at 11.20pm.
