Remember This? Here’s What Your Facebook Profile Used To Look Like

Facebook has done a lot of chopping and changing since it was first launched in 2004 – and indeed, since it first went global between 2006 and 2008.

And while the older versions of the site were once so familiar to us, they now look insanely dated, and quite strange.

2004

2005-06

Long before it exploded around the world, this is the first edition of the homepage – which was also the individual profile page – that users became used to.

Back when you had to list your own interests, rather than Facebook telling you what you liked. Good times, eh?

2007-08

This is probably the version that most Irish people remember from when they first signed up.

Of course if you wanted to use Facebook 'on the go', you were met with this pretty sight...

2009

Ah here we go now – it's starting to look a bit more familiar, isn't it?

2010

The white spaces around the edges here caused massive outcry at the time. Amazingly, the world went on and we got used to it... and we actually grew to quite like the decluttered, stress-free profile pages.
