Paul Mescal of Normal People will be appearing on this week's Late Late Show as part of a line-up that also includes An Taoiseach Leo Varadkar.
Few actors have seen their profile rise as quickly as Paul Mescal has in recent days after the release of Normal People to international audiences. Mescal plays Connell in the small screen adaptation of Sally Rooney's novel and it didn't take long for people to
cop that he was the lad who went to Ballyhaunis in the Denny ad. In between multiple media engagements, including
this chat with US magazine The Cut, Paul will find time to chat to Ryan Tubridy on Friday night about his rise to fame and the
sex scenes that have caused quite a stir on national radio.
While Mescal will be a relatively new face to viewers, one man who will need no introduction is An Taoiseach Leo Varadkar. With
approval due on a roadmap to the lifting of lockdown restrictions at some point on Friday, Leo is sure to be quizzed about where Ireland is in relation to Covid-19 and what the future holds.

Laois couple Niall and Aisling Donoher will tell the story of their
Do It For Dan campaign to raise €2m for their one-year-old son Dan to receive life-saving treatment.
Tubridy will also be joined by GAA players and experts Evanne Ní Chuilinn, Henry Sheflin, Aidan O'Shea and Kieran Donaghy to talk about how the GAA community has pulled together during the crisis.
The biggest cheer of the night from our sofas is sure to be reserved for Tom Cullen who melted hearts when he appeared on the Toy Show with his Nanny Pat in 2019. He'll be talking about missing his nanny while she is cocooning and how they are staying in touch. Bless.
