Michéal Martin made a big boo boo today - one that Twitter isn't likely to let him live down in a hurry.
Speaking out on Varadkar's alleged passing of a confidential document to the then President of the National Association of General Practitioners (NAGP), Martin said that though it was "not best practice", the Tanáiste "retains" his confidence adding: "I don't have an issue there in terms of how we're working together."
Later commenting that it was not an "appropriate way" to deal with a document of its kind, Martin also said that it should have been public knowledge "much earlier" than it was. However, somewhere along the way, Martin seemed to lose his bearings and suffered quite an unfortunate slip of the tongue.
Proving that Imposter Syndrome is liable to creep in at any time, Martin accidentally referred to Varadkar as Taoiseach and it's all Twitter has been able to focus on since.
Writing that "you really couldn't make it up even if you wanted to", another described it as "the greatest Freudian slip of all time".

Michéal Martin referring to Leo Varadkar as Taoiseach is the adult equivalent of calling your teacher mam and getting laughed at for the rest of the year.
