Niall Horan has revealed that he recently had to send an email to 100 people telling them that they wouldn't be required to work this summer on his world tour.
Last week, Niall Horan made the decision to cancel his
Nice to Meet Ya world tour due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic and revealed that he would not be touring again until 2021.
That decision meant that the former One Direction singer had to break the news to his crew and band that they would not be working for him over the coming months.
"The hardest part was sending an email to the crew of 100 people who work with me, my band, they didn't expect to be out of a job," Horan explained on
Apple Music's Beats 1 with Zane Lowe.

"They live tour by tour and travel around the world to support their families.
"I’m ok, I can get in the studio, I am ok to just be sitting in writing music. It was the hardest email I have ever written in my career."
Horan has admitted that he fell victim to unfortunate timing with the release of his second solo studio album, Heartbreak Weather, which came out just as Government measures to limit the spread of coronavirus came into effect.
Ever the positive thinker, however, Horan expects the creativity into which many are being forced during these times will result in the release of some fantastic music.
"I think there will be a lot of great songs on the back of this anyway," the Mullingar man predicted.
"You have so much time with your thoughts, you have nothing else to do but, go to the store, go for a run for half an hour, apart from that you are there with your thoughts when you lay in bed, or are sitting on the sofa, there is a lot more deep thinking and a lot more to write about."
