Nooo – Netflix Could Be About To Lose Its Most Watched Show

It's the third most watched show in the world in 2018 and it's one of Netflix's hard hitters but it looks as though it could be taken off the streaming service in 2019.

Netflix looks set to lose 'Friends' to a new streaming service called 'WarnerMedia' who plan to air films and shows like Harry Potter, Friends, basically anything with the Warner Brother mark.

Speaking to Deadline, media analyst Rich Greenfield said:

“Content like Friends is likely to disappear from Netflix in 2019 as WarnerMedia launches its own SVOD service.

Friends first aired in 1994, and ran for 10 seasons on NBC and its appeal is still as high as ever almost 15 years since it went off air.

Only in recent years has it been knocked off the top spot of the most popular sitcom in the world, a title now taken up by Brooklyn Nine-Nine (#1) and Big Bang Theory (#2).
