That existential dread you're feeling about going back to work on Monday? It's nothing a good list of movies on TV can't sort out.
The first Saturday of 2021 has a pretty good selection of movies on TV, as we bid farewell to the film-filled Christmas schedule. Tom Hanks fans will be only delighted with tonight's picks but there's plenty more if you're not in the mood for the charms of the celebrated actor.
Here's a list of the eight best movies on TV for Saturday, January 2...
The Terminal - Channel 4 - 6pm
Channel 4 kick off a Tom Hanks double bill with this 2004 flick set in New York's JFK Airport.
Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald - RTE One - 6.35pm

Peter Rabbit - E4 - 7.10pm
Gather the family for this 2018 animated take on the classic Beatrix Potter character.
Cast Away - Channel 4 - 8.30pm
Channel 4's Tom Hanks double concludes with the enjoyable 2000 drama that sees our hero (as Chuck Noland) marooned on a desert island. Wilson the volleyball co-stars.
Skyfall - RTE 2 - 9pm
The 2012 edition of the James Bond franchise and Daniel Craig's third outing as 007.
Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story - E4 - 9pm
You've probably seen it loads of times but the jokes still land, as do the wrenches. Ouch.
The Usual Suspects - TG4 - 11.05pm
This 1995 thriller won the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay and even beat off competition in the category from Toy Story. That should tell you everything you need to know.
