Leonardo DiCaprio had to work pretty hard for the elusive Best Actor Academy Award he finally managed to take home in 2016.
After being nominated three previous times for the much sought-after gong, it took his performance in The Revenant for Leonardo DiCaprio to fill the spot on his mantlepiece that he doubtless had saved for whenever his moment came.
If you're yet to catch Leo's one and only Oscar-winning performance, tonight is your chance to put that right when it airs on RTE 2. The Revenant follows DiCaprio as he plays real-life frontiersman Hugh Glass on a journey through the wilderness of the Dakotas.
There's a whole bear thing that you've probably read about as well and at over two-and-a-half hours, the movie might be a bit lengthy for those of us who are long past the desire to stay up late on a Saturday night. Still, if you're that way inclined, it's worth staying up for or at least hitting the record button.
