Plans to broadcast The Late Late Show live from Limerick this Friday have been nixed amid the growing national coronavirus crisis.
Ahead of St. Patrick's Day, The Late Late Show was scheduled to hit the road for what would have been just the third time the show had left RTE studios in Dublin to broadcast from another destination.
But with cases of Covid-19 increasing in Ireland, the decision was made to cancel those plans and keep the show in the Dublin studio on Friday, March 13.
Taking to
Twitter, the official Late Late Show account posted: "We are really sorry to say we cannot bring you the #LateLate show we planned for Limerick this Friday due to the national Covid 19 situation.

"Instead our show will come from its usual home in Dublin. We cannot wait to be able to bring the #LateLate to Limerick in the future."
Last week's Late Late Show dedicated a lengthy segment to highlight what members of the public can do in order to prevent the spread of the virus, including a demonstration on how to properly wash hands.
At the time of writing, there are a total of 24 confirmed cases of Covid-19 in the Republic of Ireland.
Three new cases were confirmed on Monday evening - a female in the south of the country, a female in the west of the country and a female healthcare worker in the south of the country, all three of whom were in close contact with a confirmed case.
