The Secrets She Keeps is now halfway through its run on RTE after stepping into the Normal People slot when the Irish drama wrapped up earlier this month.
The popularity of
Normal People meant it left some pretty big GAA boots to fill but last night's episode of The Secrets She Keeps certainly left viewers closer to the edge of their seat than your average awkward conversation between Connell and Marianne.
In the first episode a fortnight ago, the Australian drama was set up as a story about two pregnant women, one a 'mummy blogger' and the other a supermarket worker. While they each had their own challenges to face as they prepared to welcome a new life into the world, viewers gradually got to see them develop a friendship while simultaneously watching some dark secrets unravel.
If people were on the fence about sticking with The Secrets She Keeps, last night's episode was the one which should guarantee plenty of return viewers next Tuesday to find out what happens after the fairly shocking developments that transpired this week.

The Secrets She Keeps is available to view on RTE Player if you've missed out on the first three episodes but as a word of warning, there are scenes that some viewers may find upsetting.
