Kurt Cobain’s Personal Belongings Will Be On Display In Ireland Next Month

Kurt Cobain may have tragically passed away at the age of 27 in 1994 but his memory lives on through his millions of adoring fans around the world.

The Nirvana star remains a leading icon of the grunge movement of the early '90s and next month Irish fans will be able to get an intimate look at the star's life when his belongings go on display in Kildare.

The Cobain family are bringing the collection to the Museum Of Style Icons at Newbridge Silverware. Drawings and sketches by the star will be on display as well as hand-written lyrics and a 1965 Dodge Dart car.

Speaking about the exhibition, Cobain's daughter Frances Bean said “I am so thrilled to participate and support my family as they honor their brother and son at The Museum of Style Icons in Ireland. I have always been the most intimately informed of who my father was by my grandmother and aunts. I am so ecstatic that their view of who Kurt was gets to be celebrated with Nirvana fans the world over”.

The exhibition opens on July 19 and runs until September 30. More information can be found here.
