As well as playing his long-awaited five shows at Croke Park, Garth Brooks made the most of his time in Ireland by hitting up all the tourist hot spots including Glendalough for a tour of the cemetery and Dingle for a pint and a sing song at Dick Mack's. In one of several Instagram posts about his Irish gigs, Garth mused on what could have been if his infamous 2014 shows had gone ahead, writing:I just love this place. I just wanna play here. It’s all I wanna do. If it’s out in the middle of a freakin' field somewhere, I just wanna play.
What you guys give an artist you can’t get anywhere else on this planet.
After this week of traveling around, I don’t mind coming to you. I think the people are fantastic.
When we sang The Dance together tonight, I realized… As great as 2014 could have been, it could not have held a candle to 2022 at Croke Park with YOU!https://www.instagram.com/p/CiYf2yTI-PT/ By the sounds of it, we'll be welcoming himself and Trisha back sometime in the not too distant future.
