"At Forbidden Fruit one year, I was introduced to Bernard Dunne's wife, Pam, but I did not make the connection to who her husband was.
Coincidentally, I actually brought up the topic of boxing, because my girlfriend at the time was big into boxercise. I'd say I bored this poor woman to tears, talking about how into boxing my girlfriend was and how nobody was more dedicated to boxing than she was.
"She was extremely polite and didn't say anything but I was so mortified when I made realised that her husband was an Olympic medalist. She must have thought I was taking the piss. Criiinge."
