Dick’s Asks Randomers to Play with Their Balls for a Social Experiment

Dick's Sporting Goods based in the USA set out to see what would happen if they put up a basketball hoop where there wasn't one before. What they discovered was that nothing brings people together better than sports.

Dick's created this "social experiment film" documenting stranger's reactions when they left basketball hoops and a tray of balls with a "Play with me" sign around various locations in Cleveland, LA and NYC. Naturally, the hoops caused strangers to bond over pick up games and communications company Anomaly captured their genuine enthusiasm for the spot.
