With most of the country off work, the ground covered in snow and transport not running, you could say it's beginning to feel a lot like Christmas.
So what better way to celebrate this fact then get Christmas FM back for just one day? Alas, the very idea is a bit far-fetched, isn't it? Not so!
The station has announced that because of the wintry conditions it will be switching on the airwaves from 8am to 8pm on Thursday March 1 to give Ireland the perfect musical backdrop to the unseasonable weather.
That's the best news we've heard all day. Apart from schools, colleges and several places of work being closed for the rest of the week that is.
