In case you missed the Apple Keynote today - here are all of the slick promotional videos for each announcement.
First up is my favourite, the new MacBook which has a brand new keyboard, battery design and is the the thinnest, lightest, and most advanced Mac yet. The new laptop only weighs 2 pounds, is 13.1mm at its thickest point and a 2304 x 1400 display with 2304 x 1440 resolution. This also led into the announcement of the introduction of the USB-C, something techies have been waiting for, for quite some time now - that's one port for everything (oh and there's still a headphone jack port). Starting at $1299.
Next up is the Apple Watch (yawn) - nothing to see here in my opinion but a huge overpriced gimmick. The new smartwatch, which will has to be connected to your iPhone to access many apps, comes with customisable faces (zzz), health and fitness tracking features and allows users to send and receive texts, emails and calls. People with the new Apple Watch will be able to use Apple Pay and the battery life is up to 18 hours. Pre-orders begin 10th April 2015 and basic models are from $349 and up to a ridiculous $17,000+.
Apple TV was a huge announcement with their partnership with HBO NOW - offering exclusive online access to their shows via Apple TV, iPhone and iPad for $15 a month subscription. Apple TV's price was also reduced to just $69. Customers get a free month if they sign up from an Apple device during April 2015 - that will ensure a lot of new customers within 60 days of annoucement.
Here's the promotional video for a store opening in West Lake, China - a proud moment for Apple.
They also launched a surprisingly new and wonderful new product called ResearchKit which will change the landscape of how we do medical research. ResearchKit is an open source software framework that makes it easy for researchers and developers to create apps that could revolutionise medical studies. An amazing announcement from Apple today.
If you want to watch the entire event from start to finish you can watch it here you'll just need Safari 5.1.10 or OS X 10.6.8 (or later). You can also stream it on iOS 6 or later, as well as QuickTime 7 on Windows.
