U2 may not have released an album for a couple of years but nobody expected to see Bono give up his day job and take up a role with the IRFU.
The Irish rugby squad are busy preparing for a huge Six Nations clash against England on Sunday so it's great to see that Bono is on hand to make sure our players are well fed.
As Andy Farrell was announcing the news that he will field an unchanged line-up against his son Owen's England side at the weekend, U2 were sharing a snap of their frontman serving food to the Irish rugby team's very own leader.
The photo depicts Bono putting on a spread for Ireland's number 10 as Sexton watches on with his usual high level of focus. The fawning post is captioned 'at your service, Sir… and always at the service of a truly great Irish team…! Bono.'

Speaking about U2's visit to Ireland HQ, head coach Andy Farrell said: "What a man. He was great, he put real time and effort in. He's a private guy and doesn't do much of these things but he loves his rugby and his wife Ali came along and she loves her rugby as well. He told us some stories and we got a lot out of it."
Farrell also revealed that the squad had prepped Q&A session for their famous guest and you can hear him explain how much the visit meant to the lads towards the end of the below clip.

Once Sexton and the lads are finished with Bono, they go in search of the Triple Crown when they come up against England at Twickenham on Sunday. Kick-off for the game is scheduled for 3pm and you'll be able to catch it live on Virgin Media One.
