Arsenal footballer Héctor Bellerín has often proven himself to be a man with his head screwed on. Not afraid to tackle issues outside the sporting realm, the Spaniard has been known to speak out on things like abortion, homophobia and racism and time and again his words portray him as a socially responsible individual who cares about others.
When not putting the world to rights, it seems Héctor is a decent bloke on a personal level too. Cork City Women's footballer Shaunagh McCarthy is currently recovering from ACL reconstruction and to help lift her spirits, Bellerín sent her a lovely letter of encouragement.
The note was shared by the club's Twitter account and begins with a few words of support before saying 'No words are enough in this situation but I urge you to be as strong and positive as possible. I always think that in life and in sport, you will face many challenges along your personal journey but it's very important to stay strong, positive and focused on your recovery.'
The letter, typed on official Arsenal paper, can be read in full below.
Bellerín has had his fair share of injury problems himself so it's nice to see that he took some time out to put a smile on Shaunagh's face.

Something she'll no doubt treasure for years to come. Fair play, Héctor.
