RIP cards and wallets. 

Apple Pay has been made available to Irish consumers as of today. The feature will allow users of certain Apple mobile devices to avail of contactless pay in thousands of retailers around the country. 

Only two Irish banks - KBC and Ulster Bank -  have made the system available so far but others are expected to follow. 

It looks handy out as is definitely expected to be a time saver. All you have to do is add your cards to a 'Wallet' app which you download to your phone or other mobile device and Bob's your uncle.
