Most young professionals live in some sort of rented accommodation in the city but leave that to return to the family home for the festive period itself. A bit of a generalisation we know but the simple fact is that for many putting up a real tree is a pain in the ass and more trouble than it is worth. With that in mind we decided to share a few hacks with you that mean you will still have a Christmas tree but without all the fuss of the hauling it back from the shop and cleaning it up.
You probably have a bookcase full of books that you have already read and have no need for. Layer them up and throw a few lights onto the "tree" and it will actually look even better than a real tree.

Still technically part of a real tree but with the added benefit that you don't have any pine to clean up off the ground each day and that it will still look great next year too.

Good chance that you have some lights around the house somewhere from last year but if you don't grab a set for less than a tenner and get them up on the wall in the shape of a tree. Job done!

You are going to need a lot of time on your hands for this one but the end result is seriously impressive

Just grab a rake and a few buttons and you are laughing.

Just grab an old ladder from the shed and a couple of strings of lights and you are in business.

Just grab a load of stuff that is important to you and the family and stick it to the wall in the shape of a tree. Don't ask us how you get it all off. Maybe just leave it there for next year as well.
