The New York Times Has Called Galway “Ireland’s Most Charming City”

In an article called 36 Hours in Galway, Ireland, posted back in March, New York Times journalist Nell McShane Wulfhart christened our lovely Gaillimh as "Ireland’s most charming city".

And we couldn't agree more. 

I mean, it hasn't been designated the European Capital of Culture 2020 for no reason...

The article praised some of my personal hometown favourites, including:

• Loam (which was crowned as Ireland's Best Restaurant)
• St. Nicholas' church 
• The House Hotel
• McDonagh's fish 'n' chips (best fish and chips you'll ever taste, sorry Burdoch's)
• Moran's of the Weir 
• Coffeewerk+Press (the best coffee in Connacht)
• Urban Grind 
• Tigh Neachtain (where my parents first met)
• Galway Cathedral
• O'Connors pub (Salthill's oldest and best pub)
• And of course, no trip to Galway would be complete without visiting the Róisín Dubh
