A historic nautical landmark which has been lovingly restored and transformed into a luxury home, the lighthouse dates back over 200 years and was originally built in 1806 by the Marquis of Sligo, according to Western People.
The original lighthouse was destroyed by a fire just ten years later, so a new second tower was erected in 1818. The lighthouse was then decommissioned in 1965.
Since converted, the luxury property now consists of a collection of buildings including two towers, a number of small cottages and converted outbuildings.
Sitting on 2.35 acres of land, the property also features a wine cellar house, a sauna suite and its own private helipad within the walled gardens.
The 9 bed, 8 bath property is currently on the market for €4.8 million with Sherry Fitzgerald. More info and the full listing is available HERE.
