Ireland West Airport Knock has been named the country's fastest-growing airport.
This comes after 2025 marked the busiest year yet at the Mayo airport, with passenger numbers reaching 946,381.
This figure was up 13% on the previous year making it the quickest-growing airport in Ireland.
Chairman of Ireland West Airport, Arthur French commented: "The third consecutive year of record passenger traffic is a testament to the continued strong support for the airport."
Demand for the airport’s routes and services continues to grow across the region as well as overseas, according to Mr French.
21 international destinations are now served by the airport across three airlines.
Additionally, Ryanair recorded its highest passenger traffic at the Mayo airport, with services to Edinburgh, Liverpool, London Luton, Manchester, Faro and Malaga bringing in record figures.
It was the same for Aer Lingus also recorded its busiest-ever year at the airport, flying over 96,000 passengers to London Heathrow last year.
The number of passengers travelling on services to both the UK and mainland Europe also hit a new high of 207,603 passengers representing a 28% increase on the year prior.
August was the busiest month at the airport which served 106,361 passengers during this period.
The airport celebrates its 40th anniversary, and will do so in style as over 950,000 passengers are expected to travel through the airport.
