Gardaí have identified the body that was discovered on Bundoran Beach yesterday as a 70-year-old woman from Longford.
The woman's remains were found on the beach by a walker at approximately 8:30am yesterday, according to the
Longford Leader.
Emergency services attended the scene and blocked off the area.
The body was removed and it is believed that a postmortem will be carried out this weekend.
