Classed as a black comedy/thriller, the movie tells the story of the Kim family - a poor family, they struggle to make ends meet. Tides change when the son Ki-woo secures a job as an English tutor for the daughter of a wealthy family and slowly but surely the rest of the Kim family manage to infiltrate and land jobs as supposedly highly qualified members of staff.
Greed and class discrimination threatens the newly formed relationships between the families, playing out in the most unexpected ways.

Palas Galway will be honouring the Kim family by hosting a Parasite Supper club.
Taking place this Friday, February 28th, it's the first of its kind in Galway. The evening will entail a specially curated three-course Korean themed menu from the chefs in Merrow as well as a unique Parasite cocktail and of course entry to see the movie.
Tickets cost €35 and sittings will start at 6:30pm with the film screening at 8:45pm.
