3. Midnight Family Matinée
On 31 December, the celebrations start early with
Midnight Family Matinée - a brand-new festival village for all ages, featuring some stellar family fun to see out 2022.
Headlined by
Gavin James with support from
Lyra and
Brad Heidi, this event features a special early countdown event for little ones, ensuring festival-goers of every age can enjoy some New Year's Eve magic. The family-friendly event will kick off at 4pm at North Wall Quay, leading to the earlier countdown spectacle at 7pm. Pick up some tickets

2. New Year's Eve countdown
Later in the evening, older kids and adults can see some top Irish acts take the stage to count down to the new year.
Following their performances at the matinée,
Gavin James and
Lyra are both lined up to return to the stage for the evening event, with
Westlife headlining the event with what's sure to be an unmissable performance. Just bear in mind that anyone under 16 has to be accompanied by an adult. Grab your tickets

1. New Year's Day
The celebrations continue with a whole host of
New Year's Day events and activities taking place in the city centre, all suitable for families and kids.
On New Year's Day, an afternoon of
live music takes place in Temple Bar, coupled with a live marching band and some
street performances. Expect performances from the likes of
Clare Sands, Cormac Begley, Liam Ó Maonlaí and
Lorraine Walsh.
As you stroll around, you can enjoy tasty food from nearby vendors and kids can stop off at the special
Resolution Tree, where you'll get the opportunity to add your own New Year's resolution to its branches. This event is suitable for all ages and it's completely free to attend, with no tickets required.
