You can take a break and people watch, buy fresh produce, get a great coffee in Coffee Central, eat some top-notch food at Jacob’s On The Mall, or have a glass of wine at Farmgate Café.
This art deco restaurant overlooks the cathedral and the river, and does a bit of everything.
As well as serving amazing seafood caught fresh each day, they also do one of the top 10 coffees in Cork, some great cocktails and host live music on the weekends.
Once the eating's done, it transforms into a buzzing nightclub.
This place is a hipster paradise.
This place, unsurprisingly does amazing cupcakes all made from fresh local ingredients.
They have over 50 flavours of cupcakes on offer, including vanilla Oreo, forest fruits, lemon meringue and red velvet, as well as their daily specials, which have included ‘99s’, Bounty, apple turnover, and Cornetto.
Built for Cork’s International Exhibition, this beautiful park features sculptures, a Cork Museum, the Riverview Café, a waterlily covered pond, and a bridge famously known as the ‘shaky bridge’ which goes over the River Lee.
This bar is well-known for its casual but playful atmosphere, where the staff are constantly setting up games for people to play, including beer pong.
You should also try one of their freshly-made, delicious pizzas. Then order a few beers, watch the match, and kick back.

Market Lane is one of top restaurants in Cork. They always use produce from either The English Market or a local artisan producer.
Their dish of gratin with sun dried tomatoes, toasted almonds and breadcrumbs made our list of the best dishes in Cork.
The cocktails are also amazing.

This wine bar was given Georgina Campell’s Wine Of The Year Award 2015.
You can pop over for a wine-tasting class, go to their weekly film which includes drink and food showing the tastes from the movie, or just pop by for a glass of wine and some tapas.
An unconventional cinema. Because the screen is in a church, they are limited to showing two films a day. But how often do you get to sit in a pew and watch a movie in restored 18th century church?
Café Paradiso is one of the country’s most iconic restaurants. Despite only serving vegetarian food, it is ranked as the best restaurant in Cork according to trip advisor.
The menu changes according to what’s seasonally available, and they’re very inventive when it comes to their dishes. You will need to book in advance if you want to go here.
The longest running comedy club in Ireland, it also includes a late bar where you can hang with the comedians and play pool.
Comedians like Tommy Tiernan, Dara O’Briain, Jason Byrne and Richard Ayoade have been there in recent years.
Built on the site of an old Franciscan monastery, this pub sells beers brewed onsite, as well beers from other Irish and international micro-breweries and pizzas.
