“It has been an absolute pleasure serving you” Clare bar announces closure

McHugh's in Ennis will shut its doors for good in early March.

Despite the full return of hospitality and nightlife, popular Clare bar McHugh's announced its pending closure on the 6th March. They took to Instagram to inform their followers of the news at the beginning of February, with this caption:

"After the last few weekends, it seems like we have weathered the worst of the pandemic. With things back to normal, now is the right time for us to step out from behind the bar. It’s hard to believe that it has been over 6 years since we pulled our first pint but now we want to concentrate our efforts on the brewery. March 6th will be our final day in McHugh’s."
