Mr. Big divided viewers during Sex and the City's run so it's not certain how well he'd get on if he was spotted wandering the streets of Virginia.
Chris Noth, AKA Mr. Big from turn-of-the-century TV smash Sex and the City, has been showering the Breffni County with praise to mark the inaugural
Cavan Day which took place on Saturday. Organised to celebrate the 'global Cavan Family, its people, its diaspora and everyone who shares an affinity with the county,' Noth was happy to get involved by filming a video that was shared by the Cavan Calling account on Twitter.
In it, the actor gushes about the home county of his ancestors, saying that his great, great, great grandfather hailed from Cavan and added that "I'm proud to be associated with your great county". He also confirmed that he had the pleasure of being in Cavan once himself, adding: "I have visited there once, I did a show called Who Do You Think You Are? and traced my ancestors, which led directly to Co. Cavan."
He went on to say that "I hope your celebration is grand" ahead of a special live broadcast which took place on Saturday evening and added that he was "proud to be a member of your esteemed and elite community."
