I was staying in the Castle Leslie Hotel at the time of this story, having had no idea that it was supposedly haunted.
Throughout the night I heard knocks on my door, even though nobody was there when I opened the door. I felt scared at night so went for a walk along the river, and that's when I saw the reflection of a woman in the water. I could see a ghostly shadow just above it.
I ran back to my room to tell my husband, who didn't believe me. The next day I told the hotel staff about my night and they told me the hotel was haunted.
The scariest part was when I looked back at the photos taken there and saw a ghostly hand touching my face in the photos. There was nobody else in the room when that selfie was taken.
