The Wicklow Way is now home to a new coffee truck

As beautiful as the wilds of Wicklow can be, it can also be lacking in caffeine.. Sometimes you just need that boost to look forward to after a long mountain walk, or if you're like me - to even get up there in the first place! So, if Crone Woods is in your 5km, it's your lucky weekend - your walk could be caffeine (or cake!) fuelled. Off The Beaten Truck will be located in Crone Woods every weekend, and we cant wait to visit when restrictions allow! Off The Beaten Truck is Laura Hayden's baby and brainchild. With the aim to be 'off grid' and as sustainable as possible, the 1996 horse-box has been renovated using recycled and up-cycled interiors and materials. This spot ticks a lot of our boxes; female entrepreneur - check, a new local Irish business - check, an exciting pandemic pivot - check, using sustainable materials - check and... most importantly, coffee - CHECK!
