If you love drawing or sketching, you might already be aware that this coming Saturday, 15th May is National Drawing Day and there is so much going on to celebrate!
There are so many free events taking place over the weekend to celebrate. There is bound to be something that sparks your interest or even a fun activity to do with your family!
The National Gallery in Dublin has invited members of the public to bring their dry materials with them, pick a spot and get drawing. Or if you have children, you can avail of the self-guided tour for a little inspiration. At 11.45 muralist Holly Pereira will also talk about her career journey, and her art practice. Cork's
Fota House and Gardens will be celebrating with a free outdoor event, hosted by artist Declan O'Meara. No pre-booking is required and sanitisted materials will be provided for you.

Kilkenny's contemporary art gallery the
Butler Gallery has limited spaces for a free, 90 minute life drawing class. This class will be hosted by Central Saint Martins trained, and NCAD grad Tadgh McGrath. You can learn more about this event

The RHA in Dublin has a full line up of activities for a broad age range; for the kids there is a drawing workshop at 12pm with artist Sophie Behal and for adults a drawing tour of the gallery, and other artist-let activities.
