While Portland is somewhat far removed from the traditional southern heartland of fried chicken, devoted local converts and migrants in this Pacific North-West city have truly put the city on the map in this regard.

A growing local brewery with delicious wings served in both its brewery and its 'bikebar'. Though including a big nationwide chain restaurant on this list might be a bit controversial, Buffalo’s streamlined cooking method and service offers a very reliable and tasty chicken wing meal. Pok Pok has already grown a veritable food empire from the West Coast all the way to New York, and its future looks bright. There's so much on its menu to instill delight, but it's wings are consistently one of the most requested items.
