Those doughnut fiends amongst us will be well aware that today is National Doughnut Day. Sure they would have it marked on the calendar for months.

We imagine some of those same legends feature in these pics taken at Huckleberry's Doughnuts in Cork.

Some of the hungry bunch have been queuing since 5.50am to get their hands on free doughnuts and you really have to admire their doughnut determination.

Absolute heroes. They certainly know how to get what they want.
